Roxy Haynes, Award-Winning Journalist, Joins TalkApolis

"Roxy" Roxanna Haynes, award-winning journalist based in Nashville, has joined TalkApolis. Roxy moved to Nashville in 2010 to work at WKRN News 2. Prior to that, she reported for WGHP in her hometown market of Winston-Salem/Greensboro, NC where she won an Associated Press Award for her story about homeless people living in the woods. At TalkApolis, Roxy will bring her reporting and hosting talents to new and established shows with an ability to discover and break news important and relevant to Nashvillians and deliver them via TalkApolis Microcasting.

She has also reported for KCCI in Des Moines, IA, during the state’s 2008 caucuses, including interviewing current President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Roxy graduated cum laude from the University of Florida. She’s also a meteorologist and studied at Mississippi State University. When not working, she enjoys dancing, art, volunteering, traveling, and going to see live music around Nashville
